Cooperative Control Mechanism of Efficient Driving and Support in Deep-Buried Thick Top-Coal Roadway: A Case Study

For deep-buried thick top-coal roadways under high stress, there exists great difficulty in controlling the stability of surrounding rock as well necessity for low driving speeds. Taking return air roadway 20201 (RAR 20201) Dahaize Coal Mine background, this paper presents a typical engineering case western mine. Through methods such situ investigation, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and practice, we studied deformation failure mechanisms high-stress roadway, revealed speed effect. Results show that compared with shallow buried roadways, thick-roof coal suffers greater range damage failure. The roof is so deep it exceeds action bolts, resulting stress transferring to both sides, which affects surroundings. curve unloading disturbance produced by head-on accordance “power exponential” composite function; is, faster speed, less intensity exerted on strata. This puts forward targeted cooperative control countermeasures efficient support roadway. On one hand, efficiency single bolt improved reduce overall density; other density, driving-supporting circulation also accelerated weaken improve formation speed. Engineering practice shows effect rock, greatly improved. research can provide reference design similar roadways.
